Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Startek mobile application, the website at startek.world, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). The Services are operated by Startek Limited ("Startek," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Eligibility

You must be at least sixteen (16) years old to use the Services. By using them, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

What Startek is, and what it is not

Startek provides astrology tools, charts, interpretations, an AI assistant, educational content, and related features.

Startek does not provide medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. Everything in the Services is for informational and entertainment purposes.

You understand and agree that astrological interpretation is subjective, that you are solely responsible for how you use or rely on the Services, and that Startek makes no guarantee about outcomes, predictions, or accuracy as applied to your life.

If you are in crisis, contact emergency services or a crisis line in your area. Startek is not a substitute for professional help of any kind.

The AI assistant

The Services include an AI assistant you can chat with about charts.

The assistant is powered by a third-party AI provider. Your messages, along with the chart data and personal context needed to answer them, are sent to that provider so a response can be generated. Our Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.

You understand and agree that:

  • AI responses can be inaccurate, incomplete, or invented, even when they sound confident

  • The assistant is not a doctor, therapist, lawyer, or financial adviser, and you should not rely on it for decisions in those areas

  • You are responsible for how you act on anything the assistant says

You agree not to use the assistant to generate unlawful, harassing, or abusive content, to attempt to extract its underlying instructions or training data, or to manipulate it into behavior that violates these Terms. We may suspend accounts for doing so.

Your account

To use certain features you may need an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and update information that becomes inaccurate. You are responsible for activity under your account. Startek is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to safeguard your credentials.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Services to violate any law, infringe anyone's rights, harass or harm others, submit false or fraudulent information, disrupt the Services or our servers, access accounts or systems without authorization, or reverse engineer, scrape, or exploit the Services without permission.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

Your content

You may submit content through the Services, including profile information, birth data, saved charts, personal context, notes, and messages to the AI assistant ("User Content").

You keep ownership of your User Content. You grant Startek a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, process, and transmit your User Content solely to operate, maintain, and provide the Services to you. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in routine backups.

We will not use your User Content to train artificial intelligence models without asking your permission first.

Content about other people

The Services let you create charts and save context for people other than yourself.

If you do this, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have that person's permission, or another lawful basis, to give us their information

  • You have told them their information is stored in Startek and that our Privacy Policy applies

  • You have not entered sensitive information about them — including anything about their health, sexuality, religion, politics, or ethnicity — unless they specifically agreed

  • You have not entered information about anyone under 16 without a parent or guardian's consent, and you have not entered personal context about a child at all

Anyone whose information is in the Services may ask us to delete it, whether or not they have an account. We may act on that request without notice to you, and we may need to tell them which account provided the information.

You agree to indemnify Startek against any claim brought by a person whose information you entered.

Professional and client use. If you intend to store information about paying clients, email support@startek.world before you begin. A separate agreement is likely required.

Subscriptions and payments

Some features require payment. Fees are disclosed before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel, and you can cancel at any time through the app store or account settings you used to subscribe. Payments are processed by third-party providers such as app stores. Refunds follow the policy of the platform you purchased through, unless the law requires otherwise. Startek does not control those platforms and is not responsible for their actions.

Intellectual property

The content and materials we provide — text, graphics, charts, designs, software, logos, and trademarks — are owned by or licensed to Startek and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from them without our written permission.

Third-party services and links

The Services may link to third-party websites or services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your dealings with them are between you and them.

Ending your use

You may stop using the Services at any time and can delete your account as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have violated these Terms or if it is necessary to protect the Services, our users, or Startek. Except where you have engaged in abuse or unlawful conduct, we will give you at least 30 days to export your charts and content before deleting your account.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STARTEK DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, THAT CONTENT OR AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR RELIABLE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STARTEK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, OR FOR DECISIONS YOU MAKE BASED ON THE SERVICES OR ON AI OUTPUT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL STARTEK'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID STARTEK IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply to the fullest extent permitted.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Startek, its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, your infringement of anyone's rights, or information you entered about another person.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, NV, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If you live in the EEA or the UK, nothing here removes consumer protections that the law of your country of residence guarantees you.

General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Startek about the Services. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. The sections on user content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.

Changes

We may update these Terms. We will change the date at the top, and where a change is material we will notify you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Services after that means you accept the updated Terms.
